Almost 10 years ago there were no trees at the Croft. Johnny Dale had a vision to make this barren place on the shores of Loch Eriboll a green paradise.  In 2012 Johnny received Governmental Grant money for planting 1300 trees in his croft. In 2020 he continued planting trees with Legacy Tree. This year Johnny will plant Downy birch, Juniper, Pine and Oak trees. Here are some pictures before any trees were planted and after.

Have you ever heard a folk fairy tale about 3 children and a broom? A father wanted to teach his children one crucial thing. He took a broom made of straw tightly bound together and asked the kids to break it. No matter how hard they tried, the kids didn’t manage to break the broom. 

After that their father asked them to untie the straw and thus divide it into 3 parts. The kids followed his instructions, divided the straw and eventually were able to break each separate piece of the broom.  

Finally, their father explained that in this way he wanted to demonstrate the power of unity and acting together. When united, we can create incredible things that will benefit our planet and humanity. This is the essence of Legacy Tree. We unite people to create sustainable society and leave a legacy.

SOLUTIONS FOR HUMANITY AND THE PLANET

Back in 2018, we launched Legacy Tree green initiative and started planting trees to leave green legacy for the next generations. We are grateful for the support we received from sponsors and volunteers all around the world. Inspired by this global collaboration, we decided to do more.

In March 2020 we were hit by the global pandemic of corona virus just like you. Soon enough we realized that in addition to planting trees, much more should be done to make our planet greener and cleaner, and humanity prosperous. We need to make a transition to sustainable society. From this time on, Legacy Tree unites individuals and organisations who made a decision to create a better future for humanity and our planet.
